Owens gallery holds ‘Vessels’ exhibit

“Vessels”, an exhibit of work by 13 artists from Northwest Ohio and Los Angeles, opens Monday at the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery in Owens Community College’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.
The exhibit continues through Oct. 31. An opening reception will be held Oct. 2 from 7-9 p.m. in the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery.
In conjunction with the exhibit, the Center for Fine and Performing Arts will host a lecture and artistic ceramics demonstration by guest artist Karen Roderick-Lingeman Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. in Ceramics Laboratory Room 214.
Along with Roderick-Lingeman, other artists exhibiting are Thomas Madden, Jeff Mack, Stephan Kemmerly, Danielle Crissman, Judy Lynn Kahle, Brian Donahue, Rachelle Woo Chuang, Ellen Jantzen, Michael Rohde, Rodnney Tsukashima, Carol Shaw Sutton and Susanna Speirs.
Gallery hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ; Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Vessels show will move to Angels Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro from January 17-March 8, 2010. Opening Reception is January 17 2-4pm.
