Rachelle Woo Chuang is a fine artist, educator and curator. She has studied hand papermaking with several established papermakers and organizations since 2000 when she was living on the East Coast. In 2006 she received her MFA in Book Arts from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. PA. Her current fine artwork in handmade paper addresses surface, materiality and metaphor through book forms and sculptural paper structures which is exhibited across the country. Rachelle teaches in the Art Departments of Chapman University, Biola University and Irvine Valley College. She also teaches book arts and letterpress in multiple locations and runs her own art studio in Laguna Beach. Volunteer activities include directing the Los Angeles Printers Fair at the International Printing Museum in Carson, CA and she is very involved in her church. Rachelle’s work is published in 500 Handmade Books by Lark Books.
